STEK HQ – Member Registration (Internal Invitation)

Who This Applies To:

• STEK HQ staff receiving an invitation to access the STEKSHIELD system via their @stekautomotive.com email.

Registration Steps:

1. Receive Invitation Email

   • Sent by the STEK software team to your @stekautomotive.com address.

   • Includes a secure registration link.

2. Click the Link

   • Opens the STEKSHIELD platform's sign-up page.

   • Your role and workspace (STEK HQ) are pre-assigned.

3. Set Your Password

   • Complete registration by setting a password.

   • Your email and workspace are already filled in.

4. Access Your Account

   • Once submitted, you are immediately logged in and connected to the STEK HQ workspace.

Notes:
- Self-registration is not allowed for STEK HQ.
- Each member must use the invitation link sent by the software team.
- If access issues occur, contact the software team directly.

STEKSHIELD Solution Overview

This article explains how the STEKSHIELD registration system works, including workspace structure, user roles, and onboarding flows. It is intended for STEK HQ internal reference only.

Purpose of the system:

The registration and workspace system enables STEK to manage its global network of:

• Distributors

• Sub-Distributors

• Installers

• Car Owners

It ensures the right users are placed in the correct workspace based on role, region, and invitation flow.

2. Workspace Hierarchy.

Each type has its own permissions and onboarding path.

STEK HQ  
→ Distributor Workspace  
→ Sub-Distributor Workspace  
→ Installer Workspace  
→ Car Owner Workspace  
→ Global Workspace (fallback)

3. Key Workspace Roles

• HQ Workspace: Managed by STEK Corp. Handles all system rules, brand permissions, and platform logic.

• Distributor Workspace: Country or brand-level resellers. Can manage Sub-Distributors and Installers.

• Sub-Distributor Workspace: Assigned by Distributors. Can onboard Installers and manage local operations.

• Installer Workspace: Independent shops that register themselves or are invited.

• Car Owner Workspace: Created automatically when a warranty is registered.

• STEK Global Workspace: Used when no local seller is found.

4. Registration Flow (Distributors & Installers)

Access:

• Users sign up from stekshield.com or stekedge.com.

• System checks if they are STEK Film Buyers.

• If invited, metadata is used to pre-fill role and workspace.

• If not invited, the user becomes a workspace Owner and awaits approval.

Approval Routing:

• Distributors must be invited by STEK HQ.

• Installers can self-register and choose their country, brand, and preferred seller.

• If no seller is found, they’re routed to Global Workspace.

• Once approved, access is granted.

5. Registration Policies by Role

5.1 Installer Owner

• ✅ Self-sign-up allowed

• ✅ Can be invited by HQ or sellers

• ✅ Requires approval

5.2 Distributor Owner

• ❌ Self-sign-up not allowed

• ✅ Must be invited by HQ

5.3 Distributor / Installer / Sub-Distributor Members

• ❌ Self-sign-up not allowed

• ✅ Must be invited by workspace Owner/Admin
